ABOUT THE MUSEUM

Northampton Natural History Museum is a growing project to inspire and foster an interest in natural history.

  1. About the displays and what they are for.

  2. Looking forward,

  3. Queries and viewing.

1. About the displays and what they are for.

These are Free Natural history displays born out of a lifelong passion for nature.

They aim on the one hand, to;

  1. engage children and adults alike, to create interest, and to begin a process of  education, and understanding.

and on the other hand to

  1. make a valuable addition to Town centres by broadening the Town centre offering.

Fewer and fewer of us, particularly children, are engaged with nature today. Learning about nature brings benefits far beyond just knowing a few facts.

There are different displays;

1.  Flat stand displays, which are great for viewing, and

2.  larger natural history display stands.

3.  towers

2. Looking forward.

We shall be adding more and more displays to cover a broader range of topics, and will look at making displays on any specific subjects that anyone may ask us to.
